Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked exclusively in the areas of non-profit and movement-based communications, specifically online communications management and strategy, social media curation and content creation, web content management, digital marketing and data visualization. Profiling Jennifer Disla and Branden Snyder, Co-Executive Directors of Detroit Action Education Fund, a grassroots member-led collective working to foster power and agency in the Detroit community with a focus on housing, jobs, healthcare, education, voting, and working closely with community members to identify needs and solutions. Part of a collaboration with the Tides Foundation.

Lifting Tides’ Leaders to Advance Black Collective Power and Equity - Tides Foundation 

Written blog profiling four Black social change leaders about what is needed to advance racial equity and healing within the nonprofit world and to uplift the voices of Black-led leadership in philanthropy. Other duties included assisting with social media content creation and partner communication strategy. Part of a collaboration with the Tides Foundation.

A world free from violence: Let’s move - Alliance Magazine

Print op-ed profiling a decade of progress through the Move to End Violence Program’s ‘Movement makers’ – Indigenous, LGBTQ+ and women of color working in global community networks to address and end systemic violence against girls, femmes and women. Written in partnership with Monica Dennis, Priscilla Hung (formerly) of the Move to End Violence Program and Pamela Shifman (formerly) of the NoVo Foundation.

Through Thryv (formely Vivial), researching and ghostwriting 100+ short-form articles on various topics ranging from auto care, beauty, health and wellness, contracting, insurance, real estate, sports and recreation, and other topics. MANAGEMENT

The Black Trans Fund (formerly of Groundswell Fund)

Primary manager and content creator of all social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Medium and Threads) for the Black Trans Fund, a grantmaking entity supporting Black trans and gender expansive-led organizations from 2022-2024. Key successes include: 400% growth on Instagram and Facebook following through organic posting; Lifetime impressions totaling 470k+ on X/Twitter with an average of 20k per month; Establishing LinkedIn and Medium storytelling presence reaching various audiences including philanthropic partners, funders and grantee partners. Other credits include producing and editing short-form videos for social media.

COMMUNICATIONS

The Princeton Festival 2021 Season

Promoting and marketing The Princeton Festival, an annual, signature arts and music event series held in Princeton, NJ. Primary duties included handling all aspects of digital marketing and communications to promote The Princeton Festival’s 17th anniversary season. Highlights included successfully promoting attendance for two signature, sold-out summer events during the COVID-19 pandemic through paid social media campaigns and organic posting.
